Among the panchang items of tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga and lagna some are not considered suitable for performing certain functions like weddings, upanayana, grihapravesh, etc.

Auspicious days module selects those days of a month avoiding the unsuitable tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga and lagna.

The module has four choices of functions for which auspicious days can be chosen. These are:-
a) General auspicious days or sarva muhurta days;
b) Auspicious days for weddings or vivaha muhurta days;
c) Auspicious days for sacred thread ceremony or Upanayana muhurta days; and
d) Auspicious days for entry into new house or Grihapravesha muhurta days.
